Diddy’s Prison Release Date Has Been Changed Again, And There Is A Diddy Project Incoming

Diddy’s projected prison release date has changed once again—and this time, he could be getting out a little earlier than previously expected.

According to the latest Federal Bureau of Prisons records, the Bad Boy Records founder is now scheduled for release on January 21, 2028, from a low-security federal correctional institution in New Jersey. Just earlier this month, records had listed his release for sometime in February 2028.

For anyone keeping track, this isn’t the first time Diddy’s release date has been adjusted. The 56-year-old music mogul was convicted last July on two Mann Act violations and subsequently sentenced to 50 months in federal prison. He quickly appealed the sentence.

Diddy’s time behind bars has also reportedly included its share of controversy. Earlier this summer, reports surfaced that he had gotten into a fight with another inmate, resulting in a temporary stint in solitary confinement.

When Complex contacted the Federal Bureau of Prisons for comment, a spokesperson declined to discuss Diddy’s specific circumstances, citing the agency’s policy on inmate privacy.

“For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not release information regarding the conditions of confinement for any inmate, including housing assignments, nor do we discuss whether a particular inmate is the subject of allegations, investigations, or sanctions,” the representative told Complex at the time.

And as Diddy’s legal saga continues to make headlines, his story is also getting the book treatment. On Tuesday, September 29, a new biography, Bad Boy for Life: The Rise and Fall of Sean Combs, officially hit shelves, adding another chapter to the ever-evolving story of one of hip-hop’s most controversial figures.
