Druski Explains How Drake Completely Changed His Life

Druski has become one of the biggest names in comedy, known for his viral skits, reality shows, and larger-than-life personality. But his rise to fame wasn’t nearly as easy as it looks today.
Before the money and recognition came, Druski spent plenty of nights wondering what his next move would be. Even after his comedy started gaining attention, the success didn’t immediately translate into serious money. He needed a major opportunity to take his career to another level.
According to Druski, that opportunity came from Drake.
During an interview with Steven Bartlett on The Diary of a CEO, Druski revealed that being cast in Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” music video was the turning point in his career. The exposure changed how brands viewed him, and suddenly companies that once offered him free merchandise were willing to pay him real money.
Druski said the opportunity made brands “take me seriously” and admitted that he still couldn’t believe Drake had taken a chance on him.
That one opportunity became a launching pad. Druski went on to build an even bigger audience through comedy, television and live entertainment, eventually reaching a level of fame that few comedians achieve.
But his story also reveals just how uncertain the road to success can be. During the same interview, Druski opened up about difficult periods in his life, including his experiences with scamming and how seriously he viewed his future before comedy began to work out.
Today, he’s hosting major events, working with some of the biggest names in entertainment, and operating on an entirely different level from where he started.
It’s a reminder that sometimes one opportunity can completely change the trajectory of a career—but getting to the point where that opportunity arrives can take years of uncertainty, persistence and taking risks.
