From Organic Street Connection To Journeying Further, Kurdi Klymax Serves Exciting ‘Imperfect Music Deluxe’

Some music is made to entertain, some to impress, and some simply feels like someone opening up a diary and inviting you inside. Kurdi Klymax’s Imperfect Music (Extended) belongs to the latter.

The project is a musical time capsule from difficult times in Kurdi’s life—a collection of songs shaped by struggle, doubt, uncertainty and the search for a way forward into greatness. Rather than hiding from that chapter, he documented it through music, creating something deeply personal that has since taken on a life of its own and powerfully connective with the streets to birth the organic mileage & love for his music that he is currently enjoying.

What makes Imperfect Music Deluxe particularly meaningful is how those personal experiences have connected with other people. Listeners have told Kurdi that his music has helped them through difficult moments, kept them company as they started and journey through their days, or simply given words to feelings they couldn’t express themselves. What began as his way of processing life became a soundtrack for people navigating their own stories and lives.

Looking back, Kurdi says he is grateful for the version of himself who created these songs—not because he is grateful for the pain, but because something meaningful came from it. The project isn’t meant to be the final chapter of those experiences either. It captures one particular period in a life that still has countless stories left to tell. He shared:

“Imperfect Music(Extended) is a collection of everything i made during a particular period of my life when things were extremely difficult. these songs are pieces of that time, my struggles, my doubts, the things i was trying to figure out, and the life i was trying to survive.

Looking back now, i’m genuinely grateful for that version of myself. not because i’m grateful that i suffered, but because that version of me created something that now means so much to other people. i get to hear from people every day who tell me that my music helps them through their own struggles, that they listen to it when they’re getting ready for the day, when they’re trying to keep going, or when they simply need to hear someone put their own feelings into words.

That’s what this project means to me.

It’s not the end of those stories, and it’s not me saying i’ll never make music about those experiences again. my life has a hundred years of stories in it, and this project is only a small piece of that, one particular period that i happened to document through music.

For the people listening to it now, i hope these songs become timestamps too. maybe right now, you hear yourself in them because you’re living through something similar. but years from now, i hope you can return to these songs and remember exactly where you were when you heard them, and realize that you made it somewhere else.”

At its heart, Imperfect Music (Extended) is about growth, memory and perspective. Kurdi hopes listeners can return to these songs years from now and remember exactly where they were when they first heard them. Maybe today, the music speaks to someone still going through a difficult season. Maybe one day, that same listener will press play again and realize just how far they’ve come.

That feeling is captured perfectly in four simple words: “I was there. Now I’m here.”
