Kendrick Lamar Breaks Another Touring Record

Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour didn’t just dominate the road — it made history.
According to Touring Data, the tour has officially helped Kendrick set the record for the highest-grossing year ever by a rapper. With the latest numbers now factoring in his stops across Australia and Latin America following the North American and European legs, the Grand National Tour has pulled in a staggering $390.7 million across 47 shows, selling more than 2.037 million tickets.
And the numbers don’t stop there. The Grand National Tour has reportedly become the highest-grossing rap tour in history, adding another major milestone to an already massive run.
Kendrick also managed to break a personal record along the way. His Mexico City concert became the highest-grossing and most-attended solo show of his career, bringing in $5.879 million from 58,426 tickets. Safe to say, the Grand National wasn’t exactly struggling to fill seats.
For much of 2025, the tour felt almost impossible to escape — and for good reason. Kendrick was coming off the seismic success of “Not Like Us,” a headline-stealing Super Bowl Halftime Show, and the release of GNX. The Grand National Tour essentially became the live extension of a year in which Kendrick Lamar seemed to be everywhere at once.
Compared with that whirlwind, this year has been noticeably quieter for the Compton MC. There’s still no clear word on when his next album or solo project might arrive, but Kendrick hasn’t completely disappeared. He’s popped up for a handful of features, most recently joining Jhené Aiko on “So Good” from her new album Westside Whimsey. He also appeared on DJ Dahii’s latest project on “How To Pray.”
And then there’s the movie.
Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free are working on a film alongside South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and reportedly, the project could come with some previously unreleased Kendrick music attached to it. The bad news? The movie has been delayed once again, with no release date currently in sight.
Still, Parker and Stone have continued to express their belief in the project. So while Kendrick’s next chapter remains something of a mystery, there’s clearly more in the vault — and whenever it finally arrives, the anticipation is already doing plenty of heavy lifting.
