Nick Cannon Making Tell-It-All About His Life Documentary With Netflix

Nick Cannon is giving viewers an inside look at his unconventional family life in a new Netflix docuseries premiering this winter.

The 45-year-old entertainer, who has 12 children with six women, says the series will offer a raw and honest look at how his family navigates relationships, parenting and life in the public eye. Rather than let people speculate, Cannon says he wants to show his reality “with nothing to hide.”

Getting everyone on board wasn’t easy, as some of the mothers initially questioned why they should bring cameras into their homes. Still, Cannon says they agreed to participate, even though they generally prefer to keep their lives private.

The series will also explore differing views on co-parenting. Bre Tiesi, who shares son Legendary with Cannon, recently said there is no unified “we” among the mothers and that Cannon needs to take responsibility for creating a supportive environment for his children.

Cannon’s family also includes his children with Mariah Carey, Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, LaNisha Cole and Alyssa Scott. His son Zen, whom he shared with Scott, died at five months old in 2021 after battling brain cancer.

Cannon says the documentary won’t shy away from difficult moments, including grief and complicated family dynamics. While he feels prepared for the intense public reaction, he hopes everyone involved handles the attention well.

“I want to know what they have to say,” Cannon said, promising viewers an open look at his world.
